Wings of Rescue is a nonprofit organisation based in California, dedicated to flying dogs from overcrowded shelters to other parts of the United States where they can find forever homes.
Shelters in California, Georgia and South Carolina are often overcrowded with dogs. Most would have been euthanised just hours later if it weren’t for Wings of Rescue, “We either do it or the dog dies, so the choice is clear” said the Co-founder Yehuda Netanel.
To date, this incredible organization has saved the lives of more than 75,000 dogs. These lucky pooches are flow in private or charter planes, averaging $80 per dog.
This year, Wings of Rescue is aiming to rehome 7,000 dogs. They are completely funded by donations so click here if you would like to contribute.
