There’s been a growing trend for cat parents to create the perfect environment for their cats to live in. Think cat scratchers, trees and towers. Peter Cohen, home builder and owner of Trillium Enterprises in California has taken catification to the next level, transforming his house into a haven for his 18 indoor cats.
Peter has integrated shelves, tunnels, poles and walkways throughout his home. There are also 24 litter trays scattered and concealed in various places, “The house is designed not to smell, and it doesn’t.”
There are always two ways in and out of each room to prevent ambush and all surfaces are reachable so they can be easily cleaned. All up, Peter has spent between $30 -$40K since 1995 to build the cat walks. And it won’t stop here as the project is ongoing. “Way more expensive than a sane person would build, but I didn’t care,” he says. “I love my cats, my house and art, so I designed it to be beautiful to me.”
This is a truly amazing space, watch the video below for a full tour.
