Canadian tourist Meagan Penman was taking a stroll on a beach in Thailand when she came across a paraplegic dog dragging his hind legs around.
The pup she named Leo was underweight and covered in ticks, “he would have been dead within the month if I hadn’t moved him”. Meagan reached out to rescue groups but no one could take him.
Xrays showed Leo’s broken spine, he will never be able to walk again.
Three months after Leo was found on the beach, he landed in Canada in October!
He is currently living with his foster mum Jamie Smith who is also responsible for finding him the perfect set of wheels.
And there’s more good news, there has been a flood of donations to Leo’s fundraising accounts that Meagan thinks “he’s pretty much set for the rest of his days.”
We are unbelievably touched by this story and are grateful for kind people like Meagan. This is another one of the times when our faith in humanity has been restored ❤
